ISKGA Coastal Guide course

We will hold the entire ISKGA Coastal Guide course in Lofoten, Norway, summer 2020.

The islands of Vestvågøy and Moskenes is where most of the course will be held.

Dates: 1 July to 1 August 2020.

Price: 2300 GBP or 25000 NOK

A deposit of 500 GBP or 5500 NOK is to be paid when signing up. The rest is to be paid 15 January 2020.

This will be a unique opportunity for guides and coaches in the industry to attain the ISKGA Coastal Guide certificate. Lofoten offers remote areas, tide races, caves, rock gardens and surf beaches. A systematic approach on leadership in these environments will explored.

Apart from week one, Marine First Responder, the entire course will be held outdoors. We will be moving from venue to venue, camping in the wild.

It will be possible to participate on specific modules if you, for some reason, prefer not to attend all modules.





Pre-requisites:
Hold a Sea Proficiency level award in a relevant National Governing Body or be at ISKGA Fundamentals level 3.
Health Check (Doctor’s examination).
Need to be able to swim 800 meters, run five miles in under an hour, paddle a minimum of 20 nautical miles in under 5 hours.
Hold a current first aid certificate

Terms for payments: If you cancel your participation more than 90 days before the program begins, a full refund will be given. If canceled between 89 and 30 days before the start of the program, 50 percent will be refunded. If canceled less than 30 days before the start of the program, no refund will be given. If a deposit has been paid, the deposit will in any case not be repaid if you cancel your participation.
